Ädelfors Mine and Mineral Museum is a cultural museum located in the village of Ädelfors, about 18 kilometers from Vetlanda along road 47. The museum is housed in Stenhuset, an old stone granary built in 1868–69, classified as a historic building. It is renowned for the Bielke mineral collection comprising approximately 7,000 items, making it one of the country's most significant collections. The collection includes elegant Gustavian cabinets with gilded details and has a rich history connected to Swedish mining. Visitors can learn about local mines and mineral processing, with information on other mines in Vetlanda municipality available. The museum is beautifully situated by the river Emån, reflecting the area's mining heritage. The Mine and Mineral Museum is currently closed for the season and will reopen in summer 2026.
